How Does The Royal Family Feel About Gay People?

This definitely deserves a curtsy.

On the latest episode of #FunnyMoneyRockLive Anye Elite visits all the times that Queen Elizabeth has shown her support for LGBT rights throughout her 60 something year reign.

This is exceptional because part of the official role of the Queen of England is to be apolitical and not showing preference towards any particular policy especially something as controversial as gay rights have been over the years.

1. 1967 Royal Assent

On July 27, 1967, the Queen gave her royal assent to the Sexual Offences Act, which decriminalized homosexual acts in private between two men over the age of 21 in England.

2. 2003 Pledge To Protect LGBT People

In 2003 the Queen made her first public remarks on LGBT+ rights during her state opening of parliament speech.

“My government will maintain its commitment to increased equality and social justice by bringing forward legislation on the registration of civil partnerships between same-sex couples,” she said.

3. Prince Williams Says He'd Be Perfectly Fine If His Kid End Up Gay

In a visit to the Albert Kennedy Trust (an LGBT organization in London) Prince William was asked what he would do if one of his children came out.

Although he admitted to being worried about the public scrutiny that they may receive he said it would be "absolutely fine" by him.
